Lee Farley’s Artwork Awards
Lee Farley’s art started winning awards when Lee was a student. When Lee was twenty-three, his painting, “Ghost Bridge” won First Place at the Festival in the Park in his hometown Danville, Virginia. Since then, he has amassed so many ribbons for First Place and Best of Show, they line two walls of his studio.
In 2022, Lee entered a work in the prestigious International Society of Scratchboard Artists and won first place at the Active Member level. In 2024, he was one of only two artists in the world to advance to the next level of Signature Scratchboard Artist (SSA).
Other awards in 2024 include First Place for “Autumn Trails” at the Piedmont Arts Expressions show in Martinsville, VA, and Best in Show for “ Serenity” at the Danville Art League Vibrant Windows Exhibition in Danville, VA.
Lee and his work have been featured in American Artist Magazine and in Folk Art Treasures magazine. His scratchboard original, “Cabin Fever” was used in the college art textbook, Scratchboard for Illustration by Ruth Lozner. It now resides in the permanent collection of the University of Virginia's Health Science Center. Leslie Levy Fine Art has also published Lee Farley works of art.
